Nadia M. Metroka Esq. was born in a town located 20 minutes northeast of Philadelphia. She is one of five children and describes her childhood as “never a dull moment”.
In 2005, she began her undergraduate studies at Temple University and when she was 20 years old, she decided to transfer to St. Thomas University where she graduated cum laude, with dual degrees consisting of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in English: Professional Writing.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Attorney Metroka worked as a court reporter. During this time, she applied for and later enrolled in St. Thomas University School of Law. While attending law school, she received three book awards, the highest grade in the class, in the following classes: Comparative Constitutional Law, Constitutional Law I, and Guardianship Law.
Additionally, she made the Dean’s List in the fall semester of 2012, as well as the spring semester of 2013. Attorney Metroka was community liaison for the Elder Law Society from 2012 to 2013 and the Vice President of the Elder Law Society from 2013 to 2014. She focused her studies on Elder law and as a result received a certificate in Elder Law. During Attorney Metroka’s third year of law school, she participated in an Elder Law Externship in the Probate Division of the Broward County Court House and describes the time as a defining moment guiding her on her chosen career path.
She successfully passed all required portions for Attorney Licensure the first time around, including the following: the Multistate Bar Exam and the Florida Bar Exam in July 2014; the Character and Fitness portion of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners in August 2014; and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam in November 2014.
Her practice has provided legal advice and counseling to a wide variety of client matters such as unpaid wages, employment benefits, EEOC matters (specifically sexual harassment in the workplace), business contract disputes/litigation, car accidents, premises liability, probate, and referrals.
She is a passionate legal advocate, as well as a relentless problem solver, and is dedicated to helping her clients find the solution that works best for them. She believes there is nothing more debilitating than ignorance and nothing as empowering as a well-constructed plan.
When she’s not practicing law, Attorney Metroka enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending live music concerts, walking her dog, horseback riding in Davie, trap shooting, scuba diving, and being outdoors.
